Case study·Estate planning
A website, a brand and explainer films for an estate planner.
Everest Estate Planning, run by Mark Everest. A practice that needed to be trading, findable and trusted straight away - so the logo, the site and the print were built as one job. The films came later. With us since 2023.
It started with a practice that had to exist by Monday
Mark had years of estate planning behind him and, quite suddenly, nowhere to do it from. What he did not have was time. A man whose whole trade is other people's peace of mind cannot spend six months building a shop window first.
He also had the harder half already: the qualification, the professional membership and a reputation with people who had used him before. What was missing was somewhere to send them, and a reason for a stranger who had never heard of him to get in touch.
So we got to work on his branding, the website and print materials. Since 2023 the domain, the web and email hosting and the upkeep have sat with us.
A logo doing the job of a track record
Somebody handing over their will is not looking for a start-up. The mountain does the work - rock solid and dependable, taken from his name and put into the icon. Then used in print and online to give his business a face other than his own.
Accessible animation, a proven sales tool
A page of writing on this subject is where most visitors stop, and one general film has the same problem - it is addressed to nobody in particular. So there is a film per situation instead, and a potential client is shown the one that suits their circumstance.
Script, animation and voiceover from the same desk, so the series speaks with one voice - and a third situation is a new film, not a new style.
Our website build
Eight services, a consultation that costs nothing to book, and the reviews put where somebody nervous will look for them. Scroll through, or go and see the real thing.
Estate planning is bought on trust and put off for years, so the site is built around the two things that move somebody from thinking about it to picking up the phone: knowing exactly who they would be dealing with, and finding out it costs nothing to ask.
Eight services each get their own page rather than a single list, because people arrive looking for one specific thing. His own writing sits alongside them, which is what gets him found for the questions people actually type.
Under the bonnet
Mark publishes articles on the questions he gets asked, and each one is another way for somebody to find him who was searching for an answer rather than for a firm. He can put them up himself, and more often he sends them over for us to do - which is the right way round for somebody whose day is spent with clients rather than in an admin screen.
The FAQs are built the same way round. They are split by subject rather than piled into one long page, so a question about a lasting power of attorney sits on its own and can be found by somebody typing that and nothing else. A firm like this gets found by people looking for an answer, and the site is arranged to be the answer.
The site, the domain, the web hosting and the email all sit with us. Hosting includes SSL, Timeline Backups of the site and its database, malware scanning and server maintenance, with edge caching through our CDN so a page is served from a node near whoever is reading it.
We are on hand to assist with questions relating to design, print, websites, online marketing and even lend our knowledge when it comes to reputation management to help businesses thrive, whether new like Everest Estate Planning (at the time) or far more established.
Everything a new practice needs to look like an old one
One person, starting again, in a trade where nobody wants to be somebody's first client. The whole thing had to arrive finished.
Back trading, in his own words
Mark EverestEverest Estate PlanningGoogle reviewA company I worked as a subcontractor for went out of business suddenly earlier this year, leaving me with unpaid invoices and no source of income. I sought help from Bang Graphics, as I had used their services on behalf of a company before.
Bang Graphics produced a fabulous website for me that enabled me to get up and working again quickly. The website appearance, functionality and content was exactly what I asked for and to my requirements, and to date has been a very successful advert for my newly-founded business. Prior to this, Bang Graphics had done a fabulous job for me when I was acting on behalf of the company and produced exactly what I had specified. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Bang Graphics for anyone's website needs, especially for someone as unskilled as I am.
